Hold your horses! We now have Baroque Bassoon Reeds, designed for playing at low pitch (A = 415) on a baroque instrument.

Designed, made and performance tested by well known German reed-makers, Rimpl.

Well neither Matt or I are baroque bassoon specialists but these make us sound much less like dying cows than we do on any other baroque reeds we’ve tried.  These have a lovely response and are flexible in the embouchure.  All in all, these are great baroque reeds, made with the precision and care we’ve come to appreciate and respect from the Rimpl reed factory in Germany.  Now all that needs doing is to remember those baroque fingerings!
