KGE Oboe Cleaning Swabs – 1 set of two swabs

Description

This product is two satin oboe swabs with weighted cord.  The pull-through swabs have a weighted end attached to a fine cord and are super absorbent!

The absorbancy is assured because of the quality satin material, which has a high stitch-count per cm which makes it durable and able to stand up to the rigours of regular cleaning.

The fabric is edged with fine over-stitching allowing the cloth to pass smoothly through your instrument without snagging.  These oboe cleaning pull-throughs have a small solid weight at the end of a black cord.  This is ensures to dropping the cleaning cloth through the instrument is easy.

Contained in the package is two swabs.  One small swab for the top joint, and one larger one for the middle joint and bell.  Only available in the colour red.

The benefit of using two separate swab cloths is to ensure your instrument is completely free of water and avoids the gurgling sound of water caught in the keys.   The purpose of oboe cleaning after every use, is avoid water stagnating within the instrument which ensures the longevity of your valuable oboe.  Using two close-fitting swabs for both sections of your instrument avoids bringing water from the upper part of the oboe through to the bottom part which is the safest and most effective way to clean.
