Description

This plastic oboe plaque is an essential item for your reed tool kit!  It measures 3.5 cm long, 1 cm wide tapering to a fine point of 1.5 mm.

The profile of this plaque also tapers to a fine point which allows it to slide gently between the blades of your oboe reed.

Oboe players at every skill level use plaques to protect the fine blades of their oboe reeds when shaping/sanding or adjusting reeds.  Adjusting reeds is an important part of the skill of playing oboe, and small adjustments can make a big difference.

To avoid damaging a reed during adjusting, an oboe reed plaque is essential.  it provides a platform to work on each blade of your reed separately and protects the delicate tip of the reed.
