This lovely wedge-shaped, plastic tool is an essential part of your bassoon reed kit.  Every bassoonist needs a plaque for every element of bassoon reed management!

There are four colour options to choose from!  You can colour coordinate, or contrast, with the other items in your reed kit.  Or choose a colour that helps you see the contrast between the bassoon cane and the plaque, making it easier to work on the reed!   The blue and clear are transparent plastic, so you can see through them.  The red and black plaques are a solid color plastic, which you can’t see through.

Description

The purpose of a plaque is to protect and support the blades of your bassoon reed while making reed adjustments and cleaning the reed blades.

Bassoon plaques are inserted between the blades of a well-soaked bassoon reed, before any maintenance or shaping of the reed.  These Rieger brand plastic bassoon plaques are durable and long lasting.

The plastic plaque is durable, lightweight and silent in use.

Each plaque measures 4.5 cm long.  The plaque is 2.1 cm wide at the widest point narrowing to 4mm.  It is between 3mm tapering to 1mm thick

This plaque is suitable for both Bassoon and Contrabasson reeds.  You could also decorate it with a Sweet Reeds sticker if you wish!  (stickers included with your order)
