Made by BG in France, this soft leather bassoon seat strap is perfectly designed and constructed. This bassoon seat strap will last many years due to a very high quality of construction. Its leather is firm, yet supple.
At Sweet Reeds we have had one of these seat straps in daily use since 2014 and it still looks like new! Yet after all this time, it is so comfortable to use like a beautiful pair of leather shoes. We can set the bassoon in and out of the cup with a flick of the wrist. This is perfect for Orchestral performances where you need to re-sit quickly after standing bows.
We have tried at least 5 different bassoons in the time we have had the seat strap. Each bassoon fitting in perfectly due to the adjustable cap which can be opened or closed with the re-positioning of the velcro tab.
The non- slip leather means we don’t have to constantly “pull” the bassoon up on the seat and it is so comfortable to sit on, you don’t even notice its there!
