Description

KGE Standard Bassoon reeds were developed for good intonation, articulation and tone.  The quality of their finish is superior to the KGE Student reeds.  The Standard reeds are part of KGE’s premium range.  They use the same quality cane as all KGE reeds; the difference with the premium range of reeds is the higher density of the cane which makes the reed more resistant.  Because of this, these reeds deserve a good soak to get them started and do require some playing in.  They will reward you with a good lifespan (depending on how you play!)  A popular, long lasting and stable reed.
