Description
This Peg base stand for multiple instruments comes as a base only. The base has three solid steel legs extending from a center pivot point. You can place a peg for your instrument of choice in the centre peg, or either one of the screw points on the outside of each leg.
You’ll need to purchase between one to four instrument pegs to go with this peg base stand. It will accept any peg with an M5 screw. The beauty of this system is that you can change the centre peg depending on which instrument/s you are using at the time. Or have four small instruments on the one stand!
This stand will accept a maximum of four pegs at a time and is suitable for Oboe, Cor Anglais, Clarinet, Soprano Saxophone and flute, trumpet and flugel horn.
This is peg base is ideal if you are using it for one instrument only, with the occasional requirement to have multiple instruments. If using this base for a single instrument, the instrument should be in the centre peg. For two instruments, one should be placed on opposite sides, to balance the weight evenly across the stand ensuring maximum stability. The great thing about this stand is if you have only one instrument it can be placed in the centre and is very sturdy. If you always use a stand to hold two instruments at one time, consider the Cross-Brace Peg Base Stand for two or more instruments. See the Cross- Brace Peg Stand listing for details.
See our listings for the corresponding Oboe peg and Cor Anglais peg.
This base is exceptional quality and very sturdy. It folds up to a portable 21 cm long x 2 cm wide by 4 cm deep.
This is an exceptionally sturdy base, made of solid powder coated steel, it weighs 700grams. For this reason it is less portable than the K&M Compact stand. Click here for details of the Compact Oboe Stand. However, it makes up for this by being sturdy and reliable and is great for doublers as many instruments can be accommodated on this one stand.
In the box you’ll receive the stand base (folded for transport), Instructions and 5 year manufacturer guarantee. Ensure that the base is placed on a level surface and the screw is tight before using.
